The BOM acts as the liaison between the resident, resident families and the long-term care facility concerning billing questions, discharges, and collections.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Working knowledge and understanding of billing and collections for long-term care facilities.
Complete all functions necessary to obtain correct reimbursement from appropriate payor.
This includes but is not limited to printing monthly statements, making telephone calls, sending letters and working with the attorneys.
Daily census input and reconciliation.
Review admission referrals financially - Run Nexus-Lexis on long-term pending admissions.
Post all private and insurance cash into KNS.
Import and post Medicaid remittances.
Keying ancillaries:
Pharmacy, Labs, X-Ray, and Therapy Enter, approve, and track all OME's for billing and reimbursement.
Maintain RFMS account of residents; Opening and closing of accounts, enroll and track for direct deposit, all deposits, and withdrawals, closing of account upon death or discharge.
Import and post bi-monthly downloads.
Maintain, distribute, and reconcile facility petty.
Request replenishment as needed.
Apply for and report spending to Social Security Administration for Representative Payees Meet with residents and families on all financial concerns.
Open and distribute mail.
All other related duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
